Stephannie Menough Brajot, a speech pathologist, teaches Will Johnson, 5, to use Language Acquisition through Motor Planning, (LAMP). It's a tool designed for nonverbal children with autism. She works with children on the spectrum at Pivot Point Place. Brajot is known by the parents of her patients as the “Miracle Worker.” Within the field of treatment for children with autism, she is one of a few speech pathologists in Southeast Ohio who practices and utilizes the Developmental Individual Difference Relationship based FLOORTIME model (DIR) to develop interventional programs for children on autism spectrum disorders (ASD).
